Hole 1
A strong opening hole welcomes you to Nazeing GC. Big hitters can take it over the water to set up a short iron second shot. Otherwise a well placed drive around the water sets up a longer shot into a big green.
Hole 2
Medium iron to a tricky par 3. Green slopes diagonally away from the tee but also slopes left to right. Being above the hole can cost you a 3 putt.
Hole 3
A long tee shot leaves a short iron to this tricky 2 tier green. A shorter tee shot leaves a longer, more difficult second shot into this green.
Hole 4
Length is not the key here. A well placed tee shot leaves a short shot into this well protected green.
Hole 5
Birdie Chance for the big hitters! However, to hit this green in 2 will need a demanding shot as the green is protected by 2 left greenside bunkers and a ditch running parallel to back edge of the green.
Hole 6
No bunkers on this hole, but don’t let this fool you…stroke index 1. Play from the New Championship tees and the hole takes on a new dimension. Water the right protects the green.
Hole 7
Second Par 5 comes alive as you approach the green. Water and sand protect the right side of the green, whilst trees and a ditch protect the left.
Hole 8
A very difficult par 3. Long, high tee shot is needed to hold this shallow green. A short shot will be swallowed up by 2 big bunkers.
Hole 9
A new Championship tee will make this tee shot more demanding to avoid the fairway bunkers. Second shot is uphill and plays longer than the yardage suggests. Hole out and head to the Clubhouse for a quick drink and bite to eat, ready to master the back 9.
Hole 10
A great start to the back 9, an accurate tee shot is required to avoid the fairway bunker on the left and the ditch down the right hand side. The new course improvements around the green make a demanding approach to avoid the pond, new mound complex and raised right hand bunker.
Hole 11
A good tee shot is required into this well protected Par 3, as the pot bunkers left and right guard this green. Once on the putting surface 100% concentration is still needed to navigate the slopes on the green.
Hole 12
Longest hole on the course. A good drive is needed to fly the bunkers that cut across the fairway. Only the longest hitters can reach this green in 2.
Hole 13
Our signature hole. From the white tees, this challenging hole measures 241 yards. Water on the right and out of bounds down the left.
Hole 14
Strong Par 4 measuring 412 yards uphill to a tough 2 tier green. Out of bounds is left and beyond the green making par a great score here!
Hole 15
Shortest hole on the course, but don’t let that fool you! Another well guarded green with water right and bunker short requires an accurate shot to find this green.
Hole 16
A positional tee shot is key! Second shot to a slightly raised green must be hit high to find the well protected green.
Hole 17
The new water feature beside the green changes the strategy of this hole. Out of bounds left, sloping green makes this short Par 4 a great challenge.
Hole 18
The home hole, big par 5 to finish. Generous landing area allows you to open the shoulders. The layup with the second shot is important to allow a short shot to the raised green.
