| Mighty
Masters |
| We
had some of our junior members enter the Mighty
Masters competition recently and we received these
2 letters from Charlie and Tom Bye. Well done
to them.
My name is Tom Bye and I am 12 years old. I entered
a competition at Epping Golf Course on the 5th
of April called Mighty Masters. I came second
in the putting competition with a total of 16
putts off of 9 holes. I have lessons off of Robert
Green the pro, and he has coursed my game to go
to a much higher level. Rob is a great teacher
and in my mind the best golf teacher anywhere.
There were a variety of competitions including
putting, chipping, sponge golf for the 4 year
olds and under and of course the 9 hole game.
In 9 holes on the front 9 i hit a total of 51
and was very satisfied with my score. I have a
handicap of 36 but hope to reduce that this year.

Kisby for entering us.

My name is Charlie Bye and I am 9 years old. I
went to a competition called Mighty Masters at
Epping Golf Club. i played 9 holes and took 53.
I won the under 10's and they gave me a putter.
I have been having lessons with Robert Green and
he has helped me a lot.
There was a putting competition but I didn't win
that. I really enjoyed myself and was excited
to show Rob and he was really pleased with me.

Danny Heard is our junior coach and is available for
expert advice on all parts of the game.
There are many competitions for juniors at the club
and as you can see next year as well as the majors listed
there are others and most tie in with school holidays. |
